Big Billion Day: List of Best mobiles under 20k, September 2017
Hello Friends ! The big festive season sale upcoming. Flipkart and Amazon will be battling the main war. Paytm, Snapdeal etc will also give an opportunity to customers to take advantage of the great sale. Well, today I am going to post my best picks under 20000. If you will look into any of these mobiles on offers, grab one. The segment I am choosing is from 13k to 20k. For below 13k and 8k, please go through my blogs, you will find the recommendations. The picks are chosen after an extensive research and doing some personal experience. I will give a spec overview i.e. main highlights why the smartphone should matter. I will also tell you what is the mobile's biggest con or the deal breaker. Okay ! Here comes the list.
6. Nokia 6, Rs 14,999, Amazon :
This mobile from nokia is powered by Snapdragon 430 64 bit chipset, comes with a full HD panel. The mobile is highly durable and the looks of the mobile is top notch. You will not get such a well built mobile even paying 30k. The mobile runs on Android 7.1.1 nougat and gets security patch each month. The security patch of September which eliminates the vulnerability of Blueborn virus was first rolled out in Nokia 5 & 6, then Pixel got it. So, Nokia keeps it promise of regular updates. Nokia 6 will also get Oreo update by December, 2017. The android experience is stock. It has 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM. The camera performance is descent.

5. Asus Zenfone 3, Rs 14,999, Flipkart:
Asus senfone 3 is powered by 625 chipset from Qualcomm and has 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The design is stunning. The f2.0 lens of it does a descent job though not the best like in G5 plus. The mobile runs with a custom UI called Zen UI. As its not stock UI, the user's memory might be less. The memory is expandable but of hybrid type. So, 2nd Sim can be used only if you do not use Micro SD. When we talk about performance, the ASUS Zenfone 3 flies through all. Thanks to 625 CPU. You will also get 100GB free google drive storage with the mobile free for 2 years.

Reason Not to buy:
1. Hybrid slot
2. No Stock Android experience.
Recommendations: This is a Taiwanese brand. The mobile gives descent performance. This an all rounder if you consider it for buying for daily driver.
4. Motorola G5S plus:
This is an upgrade to G5 plus of motorola. The processor remains same. The only thing motorola did to add one more camera. but sorry, that does not impress.The dual camera is certainly better than some of its competitors but the artificial light camera is not that impressive like G5 plus. This proves why just adding one more camera does not make any sense. Apart from it, the mobile is super cool while playing even heavy games. If you want a mobile for heavy gaming and also want a brand, then go for it. No question asked. But if you want camera more, think about g5 plus. That also plays heavy games, but its a year old model.
Reasons to buy:
1. Dual camera by Motorola
2. Stock android
3. one of the best performer
4. Nougat out of the box
5. Great to hold
Reasons not to buy:
1. No compass sensor.
2. Artificial condition camera not so great
3. Software update not up to mark because of Lenovo
Recommendation: Buy it but not for camera. Buy it for its outstanding performance.
3. Nubia Z17 Mini, Rs.18, 999, Amazon
If Nubia has done something remarkable till date, its their camera performance. The company focuses on camera under 20000 and some of its line ups are stellar when we take camera into consideration. This mobile is one of the best for selfies. The dual camera is great in day light. Whats more. The 652 processor. Though its a 28 NM and yes it has some heating issue, lets be very clear, its a better performer than 625. So, the performance is better than other line ups.
Reasons to buy:
1. Great camera
2. Beautiful build.
3. OIS in primary camera
4. Excellent performance
Reasons not to buy:
1. After sales service.
2. Heating issue for extensive usage
3. Average battery life.
Recommendations: If front camera matters to you and you do not want to compromise on performance, buy it.
2. Motorola G5 plus, Rs 14,999, Flipkart
Yes, I have listed G5 plus above G5S plus. Cause: Camera. The dual camera wont impress you. Believe me. Motorola G5 plus probably is the only phone having an outstanding camera under 20k. Thanks to its aperture. The camera is the best in class. The mobile is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 4Gb RAM and 32GB ROM. The mobile runs almost stock android with all motorola incentives like moto display. The mobile is confirmed to get an Oreo update. But, please do not believe it as Lenovo has ruined Motorola. The 12MP camera performs very very well in low light condition and can shoot 4k video. Gaming can be done easily. Thanks to Adreno 506 GPU.

2. Very good for gaming & multi tasking
3. Quick charging present.
4. Best in class camera.
5. Special moto features
Reasons not to Buy:
1. Lacks Compass sensor(Problematic for GPS)
2. No LED light

Recommendation: If you are a camera lover, go for it. This is best for daily drivers.
1. Mi A1, 14,999, Flipkart
This mobile has topped the list because of a great overall combo though it has some shortcoming too. The winner cause is Google not Mi actually. It has Great software, great hardware and an awesome battery life. The mobile has stock android. Yes, the first one from Xiaomi. The mobile is powered by QC SD 625 chipset. That compliments the stock android. As its android one, no need to worry about updates. Buy it if you can get it. yes, the con being the flash sale. If you like camera more, do not buy it, buy Nubia Z11 mini or G5 plus.
Reasons to buy:
1. Android one OS
2. Great optimization by Xiaomi.
3. Great RAM management
4. Great battery life
Reasons not to buy:
1. Average camera.
2. No fast charging
3. No NFC
Recommendation: Overall a great mobile. But If camera matters to you do not buy it.
