Mi Mix 2 is the innovation of next generation of Bezzleless. Oneplus 5 is a powerful performer with impressive dash charging. So, its obvious to get Confused. So what suits you? Display:

The display of One plus 5 will be punchy and power efficient because of its optic AmoLED screen but the sharpness and the actual color production will be good with Nokia 8 and LG G6 because of Quad HD screen. Nokia 8 has a corning Gorilla glass 5 while LG G6 has Corning Gorilla Glass 3. So, Nokia 8 comes as winner when punchy color and sharpness come to play with durablility. But Overall, One plus 5 is a winner for better display, Nokia 8 comes 2nd.

Looks:

Well, Mi Mix 2 seems a clear winner because of outstanding innovative 18:9 screen. Looks great in hand. 2nd seems to be LG G6 with same aspect ratio. But, I will still give LG G6 a winner considering it has placed all sensors accurately and secondary camera at a convenient position.  But, I mixed looks with practicality. If I take only Looks into consideration, Mi Mix 2 wins the race. Its a good device to flaunt. No doubt about it. The other 2 are very different and look like regular variant.

RAM & Storage:

Both LG G6 and Nokia 8 are the losers here considering they have only one variant of 4GB and 64 GB internal storage. One plus 5 has a 128 GB variant and Mi MIX 2 comes with 6GB RAM & 128 GB internal storage. One plus 5 wins the RAM segment considering its base model as 6GB RAM and its OS is near to stock. But, remember storage of OP5 and Mi MIX 2 can not be expanded while Nokia 8 and LG G6 have that option with a hybrid slot. All support OTG. But, overall all phones will perform adequately in multi tasking.

Weight & Build:

The build quality of Nokia 8 is the best because of its all Aluminium body. Its sturdy and when you hold it you will feel what Nokia is about. It passes Jerry's durability test with ease. 2nd will be OP5 in terms buildw with the weight being least of all. LG G6 build is good but fragile because of glass body. LG used 3 sorts of Corning Gorilla glass. Nobody knows why. Mi Mix 2 is quite heavy with 185g and fragile. The back panel is a finger magnet. So, Nokia 8 wins the race here.

CPU:

Well, LG G6 is a loser because of an inferior CPU. It has no multiple bluetooth connectivity and Super LTE speed because of 821 chipset which was last year's flagship of Qualcomm. Rest are powered by 835 chipset. But, that does not make LG G6 is less capable. 821 is also very powerful and still Pixel XL runs on it. However, at last, 835 wins because of efficiency and power at a time. In addition to that, 835 exhibits less heat. So expect a cooler performance in all except LG G6.

Software:

Software is a segment which it depends on people's taste. For me, stock Android what I like and I respect what engineers of Google have developed with their sweat. So, for me, the winner is Nokia 8. Nokia has gone far to say that it will give updates till Android 9. It will upgrade all of its line ups to Android 8 a.k.a Oreo by the year end. Nokia is pretty fast in pushing updates and almost 2 updates in 1 month and one is for protecting mobile from Blueborn virus. One plus 5 is also not bad in this segment. It is a stock android but with an adequate amount of customization. Oneplus also pushes updates at a faster rate but not like Nokia or Google. Mi Mix 2 will have thick skinned android. So, if you love lots of customization, this will impress you. But, you will not get updates regularly. LG G6 UI is worst of all and the user experience is not that great.

Camera & Video:

The winner is all except Mi Mix 2. LG G6 is the best when we talk about wide angle. But, thanks to Carl Zeiss optics, Nokia 8 is impressive in low light condition. It has Bothie feature and you can record and stream both side video at a time to your social media. OP5 is on the other hand is also good in low light condition but its the best in day light condition. The secondary camera of OP5 is the best when quality we talk about. LG G6 loses in this front because of a small 5MP camera. Coming to the final 2, OP5 and Nokia 8, lets talk important points about them. OP5 has a 16MP+20MP shooter with one aperture at 1.7 and the other at 2.6. It has only EIS with Gyro and an 1.6X optical Zoom. The secondary camera is 16MP shooter. But Nokia 8 wins the race because of its OIS and outstanding Laser Auto focus. All cameras of Nokia 8 have f/2.0 aperture. The front camera has Auto focus too and can record 4k video. In addition to it, it has Ozo 3D sound capability, means the video recording audio is pretty awesome. Due to OIS, the video is not shaky.

Battery:

Mi MIX 2 has a larger 3400 mAH battery. So expect that, Mi Mix 2 is a better performer, slightly above OP5. But, Nokia 8 is also a good battery performer considering it has a thin software interface. All should be good while providing battery life including LG G6. But OP5 wins this segment. Thanks to its outstanding and legendary Dash charging. 70 mins full charge. Wow ! Thats like super awesome.

Protection:

OP5 and Mi MIX2 do not provide any protection. Do not buy those if you fear of getting drenched in rain. But, LG G6 wins the segment with ease. So, if you normally drench a lot, goes inside water and like to shoot photo, LG G6 is the choice. It has all protection including the salt water protection. Nokia 8 is splash proof. It will help you if you are drenched with the phone. But, you can not click photos inside the pool.

Brand & After Sales service:

Lets come straight to the point. Brand means Nokia in India. Its still loved by people and Nokia is something Indians will never forget considering it must have been their 1st phone. OP5 and Mi are chinese brands. Big brands. But still, in the society of India, people will always have the tendency to ignore chinese phone makers as brands. LG being korean is still acceptable to many.In terms of after sales service, Nokia and LG have pre-built service centers and their services are better than both Mi and OP5. So, after sales service, I give Nokia & LG as winners.

Sensors & Multimedia:

All mobiles have basic sensors. But OP5 does not have a Barometer. Though, it matters to some, but why not to have an extra sensor. All have good audio output. Nokia and OP5 have better audio outputs because of audio enhancement pre-built. All have 3.5 mm jack except Mi Mix 2.

Price:

OP5 and LG G6 are cheaper than other 2 costing below Rs 33k.  But, price of Nokia 8 and Mi Mix 2 also competitive and priced approx Rs 37k.

Verdict:

Many say it depends on the users. But, here I will differ, for me, Nokia 8 is the winner if bezzle less does not matter to you & you do not go into pool with your mobile.OP5 is also good but the brand of One plus and the recent charges of stealing users' data, is a big problem for users. Nokia 8 is overall a great device, durable and value for money. If you like bezzless mobile, the 2nd choice will be LG G6. The IP 67 rating a big advantage. The processor is last year's but it still performs very well. Finally, if looks is everything to you, Mi Mix 2 is the device for you.

Anyway, hope you like the article and I was able to clear your confusion. So, happy deewali ! Be happy and be kind !

Love
Ashis
