Top smartphone picks: Pre-Deewali sale in Flipkart & Amazon

Hope you had a splendid Puja holidays. Hope, you have also read my last post on big billion day sale happened in Flipkart and top picks of mine in the segment of smartphone. I must say Flipkart clearly won the last battle if we compare the smartphone sale. Amazon literally did not have much to offer. Anyway, now the new pre-deewali sale is on. I am going to tell you my top picks in smartphone segment. This time, Amazon is giving a tough competition to Flipkart as it has now the new Nokia Line ups adding to the existing smartphones. The price is the raw price. You can add bank offer discount which will be deducted as per T&C of the seller. So, lets start the list.

1. Moto Z, INR 19,999, Flipkart:

The Moto Z is the flagship of Motorola last year. I will not call it even a year. I will say like 3 quarters back, it was priced at 39,999 rupees. Now, the price is halved. Well, sorry for the people who bought it at that price. But, the new people buy it. buy it. buy it. Why you ask? Simple, its a full package with a slight little con. Powered by 820 chipset, the mobile's performance is flawless. The camera is a flagship grade camera and video has OIS support. The screen is AmoLED. It supports Moto Mod. So whats the con. It lacks a 3.5mm jack because of it 5mm or so thickness. Thats it. It tops the list straight away.


2. Samsung S7, INR 30,990, Flipkart:


If you are a brand lover and camera lover, this mobile is going to rock your world. Very few cons it has like slow finger print sensor. But its very good for daily driver. Its camera is freaking awesome. Thanks to the 1.7 aperture. The mobile is powered by own samsung's in house processor. But, it can play all games. Its performance is top notch equivalent to Snapdragon 820. So buy it, if you can afford it. The price has been cut more than 60%.


3. Honor 8, INR 14,999, Amazon:


Its the last year's flagship of Huawei. The mobile has an outstanding camera. It has a great build. At 14,999, its a stellar deal. Amazon selling almost half of its launch price. This mobile is a most buy if you like a good mobile with a great build and great camera.

4. Asus Zenfone 3 32 GB, INR 11,999, Amazon:

This mobile from Asus has a stellar looks and the price is so competitive, it throws Redmi not 4 out of the league of champions. Why ? It has almost same hardware. But the camera is better. The looks is better. Asus is a better brand and not a Chinese vendor. The area which it has defeated RN4 is the battery. Thats it. Its a very good pick at 12k.


5. Nokia 6, INR 14,999, Amazon: 


This is a snappy and durable mobile. There is Nokia brand. The build is classy. The processor is weak. But, its a good mobile for casual user. Amazon is selling it finally without a flash sale and with 10% bank discount. So, Nokia Fans, grab it.

6. Samsung A9 pro, INR 18,990, Amazon: 

This mobile by samsung is for the people who wants performance in a brand mobile but do not like to pay more than 20k. The camera is great. Its powered by Snapdragon 652. It can play all games. The con is being not equipped with certain sensors. Check gsmarena before you buy it.


7. Mi Max 2, INR 12,999, Amazon:


Launched a quarter back in India, the phablet was priced at 15k. It has got a price cut of 2k. This is though least expected from Xiaomi. But, its good that it did. If you like a bigger display mobile, you can go for it.

8. Samsung J7 Prime, INR 10,999 Amazon:

This mobile from Samsung was way costly 2 months back. Though I do not recommend strongly, but if you are a samsung fan and you have a small budget, buy this one. Do not go for mobiles below 10k offered by samsung. Those are useless. 

9. Lenovo K8 Note, INR 10,999, Amazon:

This stock android mobile from Lenovo is a great performer. If you want a high performance mobile with stock android experience, you can buy this one instead of RN4. Nokia 5 being the other alternative, the mobile is bad when you need performance.


10.Moto G5 plus, INR 12,999, Flipkart:


When I want a stellar or flagship grade camera and I do not have more money in my pocket, my eyes straight away go to Motorola G5 plus. If I list out the best mobile under 15k, after redmi A1, I will list this one. Moto G5 plus is known for its stellar camera and the mobile is powered by a powerful 625 chipset. The mobile lacks a compass sensor though. So, I guess no Youtube 360 Video. But, its best for moderate to heavy users and people who love stock android and brand Motorola.
