Got a Laggy Samsung device? Read for solutions...

Hi Folks,

How are you doing? Its my 2nd post in the month of November and probably the last one for this month. Today I am going to tell you some simple tricks to speed up your device. Well, I am not talking about just any device. I am talking about the "Samsung". If you own a samsung, you will very well understand the pain. The pain is just so so hurting. For first few days or weeks, the samsung device runs like they are the flagships (When you buy the flagships of course). Then, the annoying TouchWiz UI or any other refined TouchWiz UI. So, if you face such issues in your daily life, the first thing you do as restarting the device once a day. Thats every samsung users do. They think its the cure. To some extent, it is, but there are many other methods. I am going to post step by step procedure. Follow it. I am sure you will feel the difference.

Decrease the Animation speed:

The very first thing, you need to do is to decrease the animation speed. Even if its new, just do it. You will feel the difference instantly. Go to About phone in settings. Then, go to software info or find "Build Number". Just tap it 5 times, till you get the message "You are now a developer". Now go back and in the settings, find "Developer Options"

Go inside the Developer Options, find the following 3 things.

1. Animation scale
2. Transition animation scale.
3.Animator Duration scale.

Set all to 0.5x instead of 1x. If something is off,  Keep it off only.

Clear the System Cache partition:

This is a step, I recommend to do it once a week. Note its a little bit tricky. But, its very easy.

1. Power off your samsung device.
2. Now, Press Home Button + Vol Up button  simultaneously, while holding both press, power button. The moment you see the samsung logo, just leave the power button holding the other 2.
3. Now after   2 to 3 secs, it tells "Android Installing".
4. After 5 more seconds, it says Installation fails. Then, keep pressing volume up and down button alternately.
5. You will enter the recovery mode.
6. Navigate via the Vol Up and Vol Down button and Select "Wipe System Cache partition".
7. Once navigate, press Power Button to select and press Yes to wipe it.
8. Once done, Select "Reboot to system" via power key.

You are done !

Disable/uninstall Unnecessary Apps:

If you have a samsung device, they must have all Microsoft apps and all google apps. Ask yourself, do you need all those apps. For one instance, you have Google Photos and Gallery both. Those solve the same purpose for many. So, I prefer to disable Google Photos.

1. Just go to settings
2. Go to App management.
3. Go to options at top right corner and select Show system apps.
4. Then scroll down and disable some of the following apps Google photos, Google movies, Google News etc after selecting one by one.
5. You can also disable microsoft and other useless apps which you do not need.
6. Also, uninstall RAM Cleaner and cache cleaner apps. Those are useless.

Optimize the samsung device by Battery monitoring (Select devices):

Many times, we just wish the background apps to be closed. The irritating notification sound. Well, I understand. It happens. Even if you stop the notification, app runs in background. Samsung has introduced Device Maintenance in most of its Devices running on Nougat. You may get this under battery setting in other devices.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to device Maintenance.
3. Go to Battery management.
4. At the lowest area, one tab is there namely "Monitoring apps"
5. Go there, and add all the apps which you dont need to run in background.
6. The device will forcefully sleep the apps. You will not get any notification. Well, who wants a notification from Speedtest anyway.

Using a stable Launcher:

TouchWiz UI can be replaced with stable Launcher like Google Now. Google Now can be downloaded from play store.

1. Go to Setting
2. Go to app managment
3. Go to default apps (Find this in setting if its not there in app management)
4. Change the home app default to google now launcher.

Thats it friends. Follow these steps and tell me if it worked for you. You can also mail me in ashisiniter@gmail.com for any kind of support.

Thanks. Keep Smiling. Be Kind.

Love
Ashis
